How Does the Polar BodyAge System Work?

The Polar BodyAge System is a computerized system that encompasses a wide range of operations. The system collects physical data from a person, rates current fitness levels and determines achievable fitness levels. Central Penn Health & fitness is the only wellness center in Harrisburg to offer this Polar BodyAge System.

The BodyAge analysis is an exclusive health & fitness assessment developed by Polar to provide you with a baseline measurement of your overall health & fitness level. The system takes into account a number of health and fitness markers including strength, flexibility, percentage of body fat and cardiovascular fitness.

What is the assessment? The body assessment is the first step. The system first collects the following information from the individual:

  • Health Risk Appraisals
  • Blood Pressure
  • Body Weight
  • Body Composition Assessments
  • Interactive Bicep Strength Test
  • Interactive Modified Sit & Reach Test
  • Cardiovascular Analysis

Using this information, the computer calculates a person’s body age. Based on this and additional data, the computer also calculates the person’s obtainable body age (the maximum amount of years one can decrease from their body age). At this point, your trainer can generate a specific plan for you to bring you closer to your optimal health and fitness levels and optimal body age.

The Polar BodyAge System is more than just an average fitness assessment. It is a whole new way of letting you know how healthy you can be.
